There seems to be so much to do in these last few days before Christmas, and I’ve been a very busy bee…so today’s outfit is rather appropriate! In last week’s link up post I featured a fabulous horse print shirt, well this is another one from the same brand. This Grenouille bee print shirt is perfect to pair with my bee motif jacket (which is actually a man’s jacket). Bees are very prominent in this part of the world as the worker bee is the symbol of Manchester. For a sleek, slightly androgynous look I teamed the shirt and jacket with faux leather leggings and long wedge boots.
The shirt has a beautiful contrasting flower print on the inner cuffs and neck placket. Putting bees and flowers together is the perfect pairing! It was nice to get out and take these photos down by the canal for a change. I used to go running along this path but further down it gets very muddy and narrow in places. It’s a great place for spotting herons and kingfishers though. We timed it wrong really as the kids were just coming out of school and walking home along the towpath, so we had to shoot these hastily and head back to the car. Next time I’ll plan it better!
