Every spring, I seem to be drawn towards neon shades. I think it’s the need for bright colours after the dreary winter months. It’s been almost two years since I last wore this neon check jacket…with the same jumper. Well, when you find a combination that works it’s worth repeating! Back then I wore it with pink trousers. On this occasion, I’ve teamed it with my favourite barrel leg jeans and yellow Adidas trainers for a casual but put together look.
We’ve had a few days that have been warm enough to wear a jacket instead of a coat, but the weather has turned very unsettled again. I have loads of jackets, most bought second hand. They’re the first thing I look at in charity shops (as well as the men’s section). This neon check jacket was a Vinted bargain. I haven’t bought much on eBay and Vinted lately because I’m trying to cut back on buying clothes. I do still look though, just so I don’t miss a bargain! This week, I found the cutest cat print top that was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, so obviously I couldn’t resist it! I just hope it fits.
With my trip to Madeira fast approaching, I’m starting to think about what to pack. The weather won’t be hot, but it will be pleasantly warm. I’m hoping to explore some places we haven’t been to before and maybe do a long walk, if my foot is up to it. And of course, I will be making my usual pilgrimage to my favourite clothes shop in Funchal!
