I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend! I’m gearing up for a busy week before going to France for nine days. It’ll be a relaxing break, with hopefully some days at the beach. We’re travelling on my birthday so I’ll be celebrating with a nice glass of red when I get there 😉
But before that, I have a few more days at work, which means outfits like this. My favourite Pom Amsterdam bugs jacket and Finery side stripe trousers is a typical work outfit for me. It combines classic tailoring with modern twists. I’ve worn this jacket on the blog a couple of times before – with skinny glitter jeans, and also a check mini skirt.
I have a lot of jackets, but this one is just perfect in every way; the cute bugs, colourful tassels, gorgeous lining and super flattering cut make it a winner. Pom Amsterdam is one of several fabulous brands (along with Fabienne Chapot which I’ll be featuring in Tuesday’s post) that I discovered thanks to Jacynth and the-Bias-Cut.com. I was lucky enough to wear lots of these lovely clothes when I modelled the A/W collection for her last September. It was one of those occasions where I could have happily bought every single outfit. Building a collection of great quality, well made pieces is a wise investment.
At a slightly cheaper price point, Finery is a brand that puts a contemporary spin on classic tailoring. I have several other pieces from Finery, including the green and grey shirt dress, abstract print shirt dress, graffiti print dress and navy trousers. There’s currently a sale on where you can pick up some fantastic bargains.
I love the colour of these trousers, which I’d say is magenta. The black side stripe gives a nod to the athleisure trend, while the cut is a flattering straight leg style. I chose a black polka dot crossover top and peep toe court shoes for a modern elegant look. My Jennifer Hamley vegan leather bag finishes off the outfit.

Another gorgeous outfit, Emma. Those pants!! Love. I agree, buying quality pieces in basics is a great way to build your wardrobe. They will last a long time and remain classic.

Emma!! You’re killing me with this GORGEOUS jacket!! I love kitschy things and this is adorable! I must say that I haven’t embraced the leisure wear trend but the way you have worn these pants is pushing me to maybe give it a go!! Have a wonderful break in France after this week – we visited two years ago and it is beautiful… greetings from sunny Australia!!
