After just a few days in rural France, I’m fully relaxed and caught up on sleep. There’s something about sea air that makes me feel calm. Not being constantly online makes a big difference too. We spent Tuesday afternoon at the nearby beach, Gwin Zegal (about 10 minutes walk). Then yesterday afternoon, my dad drove us to a different beach where we’ve been many times before. There are cafes and toilets there, so it’s easier to stay for longer. Despite lots of SPF50, I’ve still managed to catch the sun in a few places!
Yesterday morning, we had a quick walk around the local market, where I bought a pair of trousers and a colourful hat. Well, you have to support the local economy, don’t you? I wore this retro print co-ord for my stroll around the market, which I bought on a previous holiday in Madeira. I featured it back in May, when I wore it to work. On that occasion, I needed a cardigan, but not this time. Actually, it’s a few degrees cooler today, which I’m not complaining about. They really need some rain here, especially further south in Bordeaux where there’s a wildfire. In 2017 I ran a marathon in that area, through vineyards and the grounds of beautiful chateaux. I really hope they manage to extinguish the fire soon. There are so many wildfires across Europe, even in England. And some people still deny manmade climate change is happening!

Again such a wonderful outfit dear Emma. You are so stylish. I read you ran a Marathon some years ago. Wow – congratulations…that´s what I never did and never will….
Have a good time
Violetta
Thank you Violetta! That was my sixth and last marathon – not sure I could it now after two foot surgeries!
You look so relaxed and in your element in this cute co-ord! How wonderful to have a place to visit in France!! I have been reading about the fires and feel so badly for everyone there. I can’t believe people still deny climate change. It’s scary how head in the sand people in power have about it. Thank you for the feature and the new link up!

Thank you Kathrine!
Love your retro floral coord set, it looks great on you and suits you so well! How fortunate for you to be able to take a jog to rural France to wind down and recharge. Hope you feel refreshed from the beautiful and slower paced countryside. Thanks for hosting the link up, and hope you have a good weekend.
Thanks so much Di!
I love anything with flowers on it, and this floral outfit is lovely. I love the flowers and the colors and it looks very nice on you.
Thank you Nicole 🙂
I just said the same to Marsha, even in England. And think of all those animals, horror. Yes sea air is the best! I’ll bet you let some heads turn with your gorgeous co-ord! Enjoy your holiday.
Thank you Nancy. Oh the poor animals, they must be so scared, it’s so sad.
I love this retro print!!

Thanks Jennifer!
Oh wow, Emma, what a fabulous coord set! I love the colors and the groovy print. The pattern mix with your gorgeous bag is so fun, too! I’m so glad that you are feeling refreshed from your trip and weren’t hindered by the wildfires. It is very scary, isn’t it? I pray everyday for everyone’s safety and I hope that we eventually wake up to the destruction we have caused to our planet.
Shelbee
Thank you so much Shelbee! It’s very scary how the climate is changing so rapidly. I worry for our kids, they will have to try to fix these problems.
Great summer outfit, love the bold print and colour choices. Buying clothing while on holidays help you to keep the memory of the places you’ve been and liked. Enjoy your weekend
Thank you Anna! Yes, I love to buy clothes and jewellery when I’m on holiday 🙂
