How’s your week going so far? I had a poorly little girl at home with me yesterday so we started a 1000-piece jigsaw…I used to love jigsaws as a child! But the news that Isobel has a place at her preferred secondary school certainly cheered her up 🙂 It’s hard to believe she only has a few months left at primary school!
Today’s outfit is a more casual affair than some of my recent offerings. We actually shot these photos a couple of weeks ago when I rediscovered this jumper. I was looking for something else and found a stash of tops that I’d stored in the spare room – including this rust frill sleeve jumper. So of course, I immediately wanted to wear it!
I wanted a comfortable outfit that I could wear for doing errands but still look put together, so I teamed the rust frill sleeve jumper and cargo trousers with leopard print accessories. I previously wore these trousers with heels and my Pom Amsterdam jacket, but I’m going for comfort this time. I’ve had these high top trainers for years but had never worn them before; I thought they made my legs look stumpy – especially with skinny jeans – so they’ve been stored away at the back of the wardrobe. These cargo trousers work much better with them than jeans. They have a silky feel which makes them more versatile than the stiff cotton varieties I’ve seen. The elasticated section at the back of the waistband means they’re really comfortable.
The Biba leopard print bag is a good match for the trainers and is big enough to fit all my stuff in. I also have the same style of bag in a red zebra print – both eBay finds from years ago. I’ve added a triple stone statement ring and gold earrings to finish off the look.

Well you look dreamily comfy in this Emma, I was going to buy a pair of cargo/combat trousers for the next challenge – but I just don’t think they are ‘me’! I like these on you though, perhaps I should give them a try. thanks for sharing. Jacqui x
Such a cute casual outfit! I’ve been admiring the cargo pants style but can’t decide how they might look on me–they look great on you! Thanks for sharing, Emma.

I used to love the cargo style pants! I’m so glad to see them making a come back!
Loving those cargo trousers – am on the look out for a similar pair, not too stiff! I felt the same about high tops – that they made my legs stumpy – so I got rid of a pair I had. Yours look great with this outfit.
Nice look. Those pieces are working perfectly together. I’m looking for some cargo pants for myself. I hope to find some which can compliment my curves. o)
