You probably know how much I love a trouser suit, especially if it’s brightly-coloured or in a bold print. Well, technically this isn’t a suit because this turquoise jacket and trousers are actually from different brands. I bought the Zara jacket in a charity shop for about £6 (I couldn’t believe my luck!), and the trousers are from River Island but bought on eBay. They are different textures but an almost perfect colour match. I’ve previously worn the jacket with green trousers and a yellow jumper but I wanted to wear it with the turquoise trousers to make a suit.
Unusually for me, I didn’t add another bright colour; instead I chose a high neck black and white top for a clean and simple look. I wore this outfit to work last Friday, which was our 12th wedding anniversary. Luckily Pete was working too so we had a nice lunch together. These days I usually wear trainers for work anyway, but I really have no choice at the moment due to my calf injury. Luckily I have plenty of pairs in various colours to choose from. These gold ones by Guess are a few years old now but they’re still like new as I haven’t worn them much.
I used my reversible faux leather bag that I mostly use for holidays; white works with the top, plus it’s big enough to carry the camera and all my other stuff in. We didn’t take many photos because we were hungry! I had the most delicious vegan burger at the Botanist…it was SO good, I can’t wait to go back!

What a great set, Emma! This color is so fun and I really like that the textures are different for some extra interest. It’s amazing how perfectly the color matches though! I like the black and white top with it to let the blue really shine. And it is super cute with your trainers. I hope your calf heals soon!

Turquoise is one of my very most favorite colors. I adore this outfit! And the white black top was an inspired choice. I’m not sure I would have even considered this top, but what a great look!

I think it’s a great look for anyone who wants to stand out and show off their personality. I also love the way you included a work-appropriate outfit and a casual outfit, and showed how you can mix them all together to have a stylish and memorable day.
Fashion is an ever-evolving industry, with trends changing constantly. It’s a way to express oneself and showcase personality through clothing choices. While it can be fun and exciting, it’s important to remember the environmental and social impact of fast fashion. Choosing sustainable and ethical fashion options can make a positive difference.
