It was my turn to choose the theme for this month’s Style Not Age post, and for a fun, summery vibe I chose “Tutti Frutti”! I love fruity prints and motifs so I’m surprised I haven’t chosen this as a theme before now! In what may be bordering on obsessive, I have not only this shirt and bag, but two dresses, a top and a skirt in this peach print by Fabienne Chapot! I bought the midi shirt dress from The Bias Cut, and the bag direct from Fabienne Chapot, but the skirt, this shirt and a maxi shirt dress (that you’ll see in a few weeks) are preloved finds.
Since Brexit, I don’t even bother looking on the Fabienne Chapot website; the same goes for Pom Amsterdam and Scotch & Soda. The shipping fees and import duties make it unviable. Now, purchasing from these brands is only possible via boutiques and resale sites. I have alerts set up on eBay for items I’m looking for, and I check on Depop and Vinted regularly. I’ve found so many great preloved pieces this way.
In addition to my collection of peachy garments, I also have an array of other fruit prints, so I had a number of options for this Tutti Frutti theme. I have a cherry print dress (also Fabienne Chapot) and a lemon print maxi dress from H&M that I bought on eBay. In a suitcase somewhere I have a “Feeling Peachy” T-shirt – I need to dig that out. I’m not sure if it counts as one of my five a day, but wearing fruit prints certainly makes me feel cheerful and perhaps that little bit more energetic!

Jacqui borrowed this gorgeous dress from her daughter…she obviously has her mum’s excellent style! The Steve Madden orange bag, which was a birthday present, and green tie up shoes complete the look. Head over to Mummbstylish for all the details.
Hilda is wearing a Hugo Boss dress that is years old. with a beautiful Zara kimono layered over it. Visit Over the Hilda to see more.
Gail is wearing a stripey t-shirt from Kettlewell Colours that is actually called Tutti Frutti…what a coincidence! It’s new but everything else is shopped from her wardrobe. Swing by Is This Mutton? to catch up with Gail and find out more about her outfit.
