I hope you all had a good weekend…did you do anything for Halloween? I was at my mum’s for half term and got back yesterday. Obviously we couldn’t go trick or treating, but then we don’t anyway so we didn’t feel like we were missing out. I did Isobel’s makeup and I was quite pleased with how it turned out for a first attempt. (Taking it off at bedtime was the difficult bit!) The weather’s been awful so we didn’t get outside much. I was panicking that I couldn’t do any photos but then I remembered that we shot these before I went to mum’s. (My memory’s terrible at the moment!)
As we’re poised to go back into lockdown here in the UK it seems fitting to feature an outfit that’s suitable for working from home. Even if you’re not working, it’s still nice to add a bit of glamour to your outfit. It can be tempting to stay in pajamas or joggers all day (well for me anyway!). But after a while the novelty wears off and I need to get dressed properly, otherwise I start to feel like Waynetta Slob (only people of a certain age in the UK will understand what I mean!).
One way of injecting a bit of glamour into your stay-at-home outfit is to add leopard print! My favourite animal print never fails to make me feel more pulled together. These wide leg leopard print trousers are loose, light and have an elasticated waistband, making them perfect for working from home or just lounging around. They have pockets too! I’ve paired them with a black batwing jumper because it keeps the colour palette simple and classic. The faux leather detail on the jumper adds a luxe touch. It’s loose enough to layer a thin long sleeved top underneath, which is good because it might be difficult to fit under a coat.
I’ve chosen nude trainers for a comfy, casual look. It’s the kind of outfit that you can go shopping in or jut go for a walk in. The multiway bag gives me the choice of a crossbody or bumbag. I’ve tried it both ways – I need to tuck the jumper in slightly when I wear it as a bumbag. The downside is that it adds bulk around the waistline, but sometimes you have to just go with it! I think I prefer it as a crossbody and the jumper worn loose as it feels more comfortable. I’d probably wear it as a bumbag with a more streamlined jumper though.

I love to wear leopard print too Emma. I’ve just bought a shirt in leopard, though I’m really not going to get the chance to wear it much!
Thank you so much for the feature. x
You’re welcome Alison! Hopefully we’ll get the opportunity to go out before Christmas – even if it’s only to the pub!
Ooh, what a cute jumpsuit! The kind you can wear casually, as you say, or dress up a bit. Can’t beat that! Have a great week, Emma.

Haha yes, getting Halloween makeup off is always the hardest part! My roommate and I went to a covid-safe event to get a tarot card reading, then we spent the night watching the movie It. I love those fun pants of yours, and all of the accessories and bold jewelry are even more fab!

Such an elegant work from home outfit. Thanks for the party.
Very elegant outfit for working from home, particularly the leopard trousers! But I can see it totally working – it all looks very comfy. I embrace bum bags – I wear one when I go out for walks to keep my phone, debit card and hanky in!
You look so cute! I love those pants! So trendy and they look incredible on you!
